My name is Nick Delk, I am the founder of Kidney Love. Growing up as a child my parents meant everything to me, they were always my rock of support. The older I got, I began to fall in love with health of the human body. So much so that I actually studied it all through college. Unfortunately, on my fourteenth birthday my fathers kidneys started to fail on him and he went into shock on the living room floor and I had no idea what to do. My father was a fighter, he fought so hard for the life he worked so hard to get up to that point. He was put on dialysis. For those who do not know, dialysis is a terrible experience. Imagine needing a machine to survive. Imaging having an actual hole in your stomach for a tube to hook up to. Imagine being afraid to go outside because the bacteria in the dirt is enough to kill you all while still trying to support your family financially. This is dialysis. This is a war that is all too avoidable if you just take the time to change some minor life behaviors. The average time to receive a kidney from a donor is currently four to five years. Thankfully my father received a kidney and is alive and well today, but other people may not be as fortunate as my father. To me, and to Kidney Love, Family is everything. I dare you to share our message with your friend, with your family, with anyone, you never know whose life you'll save.

From the beginning
Where we are now
Family is important to every single person in this world, it is one thing that we all have in common. Losing a family member is never easy. My beginning goal was to raise awareness for ESRD (kidney failure) but now my goal is much larger.
Raising awareness isn't enough for me, I want to save and change lives. As we speak Kidney Love is working on creating an entirely free to access unit on public kidney health. We will have renown instructors from around the world give their insight into how you can take better care of your kidneys and how you can stay more connected as a family. All lessons will be free to watch and comment on under the "lessons" tab at the top of your screen. Lessons should debut in the pending months!
